Description

The Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) was established in 2010 to provide scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented in U.S. study abroad. Since then, FEA has awarded over $2 million in scholarships to more than 600 undergraduates. Amount awarded varies: For full academic year programs: up to $10,000; Semester (fall or spring) programs: up to $5,000; Summer programs: minimum of $1,250 (pro-rated by number of week in-country) External

U.S. Citizen or permanent resident Freshman – Senior undergraduate student Studying abroad for minimum of 4 weeks Credit for study abroad program must be approved by Stanford

Application Process

The Fund for Education Abroad Scholarships do not have a campus process. The national deadlines vary. The deadline for Spring 2023 is Friday, July 1, 2022. The deadline for Summer 2023, Fall 2023 and AY 2023-24 is TBD (January 2023). We encourage you to begin your application early. In addition to the general scholarship, FEA has several other awards that students will be considered for if they meet the criteria.
