This brand-new role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced communications expert to take on a rewarding part-time position! We’re looking for a talented professional who’s passionate about the life-changing work we do to lead in developing and implementing a comprehensive communication plan. You’ll work to enhance the college's reputation, engage various stakeholders, and support our mission to transform lives through learning. We’re looking for somebody who can offer creative new ideas to help constantly improve our communications strategy and will thrive in a role with a high degree of autonomy. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for: Leading on the creation of engaging content for various platforms, including staff intranet, social media, newsletters, and publications Preparing media materials such as press releases & other external comms Enhancing our brand through consistent compelling messaging Leading on celebrating the successes of our incredible students and staff Supporting the college’s ambition to create a culture of communication Being a key part of Marketing, able to offer fresh ideas & perspectives After your first year in-post, success would mean you have: Driven Improvements in communication scores on employee engagement surveys Planned, implemented and reported on communications strategies, helping to drive improvement and identify new media opportunities Embedded within the team and built up fantastic working relationships You’ve ensured college messaging is consistent & accurately reflects the great work we do We're open-minded & welcome all applicants who believe they can succeed. Though ideally, you will: Have proven experience in a fast-paced communications role Hold experience of e-marketing, including related software e.g. Mailchimp Knowledge of a range of Content Management Systems (CMS) Experience in managing key communications projects Be extremely creative and excited to bring fresh ideas to the team Hold strong written English, proof-reading & copywriting skills We appreciate your interest and look forward to hearing from you!
