Here at The Sheffield College we are looking for an Electrical Installations Lecturer and Assessor to deliver to full time study programmes up to and including level 3 and JTL apprentices. Next year with the delivery of T-Levels, we have made strategic partnerships with Sheffield Council and as a result are developing our green skills courses & looking for someone who is qualified on Installation & Maintenance of Solar PV Systems and Installation of Car Charging ports, or willing to upskill. This is an exciting time as we embark on new qualifications. We are a friendly and supportive team and Teacher training is provided. Day-to-day, you will: • Deliver exciting sessions to a range of students that cover both theoretical aspects and practical sessions. • Develop learning content that enable alignment with the strategic ambitions of the college, particularly in relation to the green skills agenda. • Assess students practical abilities • Deliver marking and feedback to students that helps to develop and support them in their educational and career aspirations. • Work together with the team to support with open evenings & parent consultation events, always ensuring that a student first ethos is promoted and maintained. • Champion our commitment to putting students first • Exemplify our values of Fairness, Respect & Equality After your first year, success in this role would mean you have: • All students will achieve within their chosen course of study. • High retention rates that demonstrate students who start on our programmes complete them. • Good attendance that demonstrates students enjoy their classes. • Positive student feedback in student surveys and student voice forum sessions We’re open-minded and welcome all applicants who believe they would be a good fit.
