We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Assistant Job Coach to join our Foundation Learning Department supporting learners with SEND to gain the skills they need for employment. As an Assistant Job Coach, you will confidently support our learners both in and out of the classroom, to develop the skills and knowledge that they need to enter the world of work. Working with local employers, you will source exciting work placement opportunities and support the learners to demonstrate that they can complete tasks and meet the expectations of the employer. Reporting to the SENDCO for Foundation Learning, you will be involved in: -Facilitate learning sessions which identify learner aspirations and support the development of the skills and knowledge required for employment -Liaise with local employers to secure suitable work placements and carry out detailed job analysis and risk assessments -Identify reasonable adjustments and provide on the job support to the learner As a Assistant Job Coach, you will have: -GCSE A*-C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths or equivalent -Experience of working with young people with learning difficulties of disabilities An understanding of the supported employment model The ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with all students Benefits include: -Personal and Professional Development opportunities, including a comprehensive induction -Discounted Metro Card Scheme -Good Pension Scheme -Access to employee assistance programme -Reduced price personal gym membership -Access to a wide range of high street discounts (retail, supermarkets and restaurants) -Staff Recognition Awards
